Mangroves & Garza Island

Right at the foothills of Club Fred is where the large Terraba River pours into the grand Pacific.  This is the beginning of the second largest mangroves in the world.  National Geographic calls it the most biologically diverse spot on the planet!!

We leave about 2 hours before high tide and let the tide carry us up the river into the mangroves where we will observe many different types of plants and wildlife especially birds.  We then paddle over to Isla Garza and take a short hike through its unique eco-system watching for monkeys and other wildlife while tasting tropical fruits off of the trees ending at the very beautiful and tranquil Garza beach.  Here we can relax and swim in solitude.

This is a very calm and safe tour that can be enjoyed by young and old alike

Tour is 3 to 4 hours
